Buro Happold, consulting engineers in Edinburgh, are celebrating International Women in Engineering Day by opening their doors on Wednesday 26th June to all young people (not just girls!) and their carers & teachers. The event is aimed at senior phase pupils considering their career options.
There will be a tea and cake party, with information stands set up from each discipline (Structures, Services, Waste, Lighting, Fire, Architecture). Attendees can eat cake, drink tea and learn all about the variety of skills and roles in engineering and meet lots of engineers. They’ll also have their VR headset in action if that can tempt anyone! It will be held on the 26th June, between 4pm and 6pm at their Edinburgh office on Bread Street.
