Happy New Year and huge thanks to Gavin Newlands MP for Paisley and Renfrewshire North for visiting Linwood High S3 Modern Studies today and answering questions from S3 about the work of an MP in their constituency and at Westminster. Gavin let us film the interview for Linwood News so look out for it coming to the school website soon.
Incredible trip to London today with a visit to The London Dungeons and the London Eye and huge thanks to Tanya, Heidi and Damien at Westminster for our tour and workshop at the UK Parliament. We got to visit the House of Lords to watch the swearing in session for the opening of parliament tomorrow.
Thank you very much to the Scottish Parliament for having us to visit today. A chilly but blue sky sunshine day in Edinburgh and a very warm welcome in the parliament. S4 attended a devolution workshop and got to visit to debating chamber and a committee room before a q and a session with their MSP Tom Arthur who went out of his way to spend time with us last minute on a very busy day. Thank you Tom.
Huge thanks to Katelyn and Cameron from the Law Society of Scotland for coming to work with National 5 Modern Studies today. Pupils got to examine real evidence from a real murder case and decide whether they thought the accused was guilty or not.
